I want it to be next semester already...

I need to go to a school with quarter system. This whole wait 18 weeks to get a grade sucks.
I was already looking at classes from Spring 2010 today and I really am excited to take a Japanese Kanji class. Hopefully, I can learn what the shitty tattoos people get say by the end of it.

The math teacher I liked from summer is teaching a Finite Math 181 course that I have to take still. So I'm hoping I can get into that, because I really don't want to have to take PreCalc & Calculus :(

So Japanese and Math 181 (at school) and Accounting 186 (online)! I guess Spring semester doesn't start until Jan 22nd. SO that is great! I get over a month off for break. Makes me happy.

HOWEVER!!! Jason did inform me that he will be pissing me off when he goes snowboarding on Mondays while I am in class. I need to think of fun things to do when he's at work...

Waffles and Wilmoth

I'm going to do it myself...

My new skateboard...because I don't really skateboard...
But it took me way to long to grip and put the trucks back on. Reminded me of when Danny taught me how to grip my first skateboard at Salty's. :(

Jason told me to wait to do it until he got home, but I wanted to do it myself. Makes me feel less sissy for getting a skateboard that I will hopefully ride more then my last one... plus it has a GIANT teal soft serve awesome "white person" cake cone.

Oh and apparently on the cellophane wrapping of Cori's parliment lights they tell you:
"Lights" won't help you quit smoking. "Lights" does NOT mean safer. It refers to taste.

So good

Yesterday <3

So we got engaged yesterday... but I have to say I knew he was going to do it. There were a few signs that seemed to make it clear as our day went on.

I had to go to class in the morning, but Jason made a full course of breakfast for me before I left. Then he asked me to get out of class early to leave...

Jason planned an entire day (this was sign #1) for us in Napa / St. Helena / Calistoga... but first it started with a picnic and an entire bottle of pinot noir wine at V.Sattui Winery.

As Traci said so well when I told her this story "When men plan (for that special event) they do it so well... it makes up for the 6 months they don't do anything." --> so true

It was a ridiculously nice afternoon -- and we sat at a table on the lawn and bird watched for a couple hours. Jason sat next to me instead of sitting across from me like he normally would (sign #2).

I had a mozzarella and tomato basil panini with oven roasted vegetables from the deli there. We also shared tiramisu... kind of... I'm pretty sure I ate most of it.

We're not quite sure which one did it, but one of them managed to poop on Jason's leg while we were sitting out there. Also, a fly made its way into Jason's glass of wine. Right as he was about to propose...

The whole time he was super nervous (sign #3) and kept saying " I love you" and showing a lot of PDA to my shoulder and the right side of my face (sign #4). I knew he was going to propose, but I really didn't think he would be so nervous.

Suddenly, the black velvet box popped out in front of me (sign #obvious). Here's the ring, the rest of the bottle and the aftermath :)

J:"Open it"
A:"Ok..."
J:"I'm ready to be engaged...will you marry me?"
A:" Yes...but you're going to have to put the ring on my finger"

Here's my cheesy ring picture... + finishing the bottle :)
It's so pretty there...
Oh and we went to Calistoga and tried Mud Baths for the first time. Little Jess warned us that it is a little weird. I think it kinda feels and smells like your in a bathtub full of ground beef. But my skin is now perfect... We also sat in the hot springs for a bit afterwards.
I made Jason try it first... I was a little scared to get in.

yay... no more mud <3
We left Calistoga at around 8pm and because of our late lunch we weren't very hungry so we actually didn't eat until we got home. Cheeseburgers, cokes and shared french fries :) -- so awesome.

Fail.

I FAILED MY MICRO-ECONOMICS MIDTERM... apparently hours of studying and getting 98% or higher on all the homework assignments and having an "A" in the class prior to this damn test doesn't ensure success.

RARRRRRRR. I'm so mad. And all I have to show for it now is a "C."

My other brother...

Jason kind of covers the night better than I do. I still haven't seen the pictures from the movie premier... but here's his side of the story. Jason's Story.

I got Sunday morning brunch today :). Pancakes with cocoa, whipped cream and blackberries.

I think we are going to the chinese super market today. They have the best bakery. Maybe a bike ride at some point.

I want to go see Where the Wild Things Are.

I have an Astronomy Test this week :(

He's going to be mad...

But it's just too funny not to share. Waffles... you are like my 3rd brother... but you are so weird.

This conversation doesn't even make any sense.

Sundays are the best...

Slept in, Studied, ate pancakes made by Jay (frozen ones) and watched Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. I think I like this movie because of all the costumes in it, that and I love how cute Amy Adams is, and Lee Pace is in the movie (Ned from "Pushing Daisies" -- recently cancelled :( by ABC)

Jay had to work today, and we haven't been able to do Sunday Morning brunch with pancakes and bacon. But the frozen ones are still awesome.

I loved that show... poo on you ABC.

*as a side note...before Jason read this he actually went into our freezer and threw away the rest of my saved frozen pancakes*

**his timing is amazing**

Thursday - Saturday

Waffles came into town this week to pick up some samples and hang out.
I dragged him around Ikea and he made me drive him to the skate park.

Paul and Mimi came out, and had swedish meatballs too! AWESOME!

Helped paint over at Ryan and Raechel's.

Johnna came home for the first time in a month, and Steve keeps talking
about "Space Humping." It's making it us all uncomfortable... really.

I'm doing it wrong...

So today I was supposed to give a complaint speech in my speech class... and I decided my topic would "Obese Pets."

Complaining & Fat Pets = I'm so good at both!!!

Well not so much I guess. I wasn't that nervous because I've done really well this semester in that class so far. But my awesome powerpoint presentation and I did not get along so well. Made me so frustrated.

I felt like pooches after the speech... depressed and I wanted to hide under the table.
The worst part is that, I was being taped through this speech. So not only do I have it documented, but I have to actually watch my speech and give myself a critique as part of my grade.

FUCK.

then played (and lost) @ 3 ball at the buc
met up with Jason

played more 3 ball
drank more

*Love Parade garbage / people EVERYwhere in the city*
Home by 2:00am
-- ugh --

Sunday: Bright eyed and bushy tailed for St. Mary's Fall Preview Day.
(well more like red eyed and with a headache)
I think I might like going there? --> a "waffles question"
hrmmm...
I got a thai prawn burrito from 360 (yum)
"You don't have to come get us from the Coliseum"
10 seconds later...
"Can you come out to get us from the Coliseum?"
on BART again @ 4pm to the Oakland A's
Keg beer and lots of drunk people... Old & cold overcooked sausages :(
"Let's leave?" (it's about 6pm)
12 people in a 7 passenger vanagon.
"fuck... I thought I knew how to drive manual?"
"I need to pee... or I'm going to pee on him..."
pulled over... 5 people pee
"I can't get the car into 1st... wtf?"
"Let me try... here hold my beer..."
2 minutes later...
"EVERYONE SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

-- Basically the clutch in the van is older than I am, and is now officially done. --
Having a van full of drunks that are freaked out... not good either.
The van was towed home last night. The Keg was stashed off the side of the highway in the trees, but I'm not really sure why.

Yep. I just want to go back to sleep today. But I have a test in my speech class that I haven't studied for :(

Why am I blogging right now instead of studying?

College Hunting

This again? Why is it such a big deal to find a school that suits your needs? Why is that a BA is no longer even important? Most people have to go get a Masters now anyways...

Drives me nuts.
